INTRODUCING THE BOUNDLESS BRAND

BOUNDLESS NY DEBUTS ITS MENSWEAR COLLECTION FOR WINTER 2010

Boundless NY’s new clothing label will coincide with
the merger of the King Stampede brand.
_______

Today, Boundless NY is proud to announce that it will be unveiling its inaugural menswear collection for Winter 2010 – a move that coincides with uniting the King Stampede and Boundless NY brands under one name.

Effective immediately, King Stampede will operate under the same identity and banner of Boundless NY, a property that includes two NY storefronts, an online retailer, a radio program and skate team represented by Daniel Castillo and Danny Supa.

“King Stampede has always been an extension of the same creative ideas and forces that are behind Boundless, so our decision to merge the two under one name was a natural one to make,” comments Nick Langella, Boundless NY Owner. “By bringing it into the fold as a Boundless NY branded label, we are now able to direct more resources towards developing the line to its full potential.”

Boundless NY’s first official offering for buyers will debut for Winter 2010 and it is a collection inspired by an imaginative journey across America during the mid seventies. Consisting of bottoms, tops, outerwear and graphic T-shirts, the collection is reminiscent of American workwear and vintage outdoor gear, both known for their simplicity and dependability. The timeless pieces are updated to reflect Boundless NY’s east coast sensibility through references to music, nature, mind expansion, and a counterculture spirit, which are all subtly sprinkled on trims, tags and other visuals.

The first delivery of Boundless NY Winter 2010 collection will be arriving at shops worldwide in October 2010.

BRIAN ANDERSON - EPICLY LATER'D

From VBS.TV

It has been a minute since a new Epicly Later’d has gone up, so who better than to come back with than Brian Anderson. Since 1996 Brian has constantly have evolved as a pro skater. When his first video part came out in Toy Machine’s Welcome to Hell, he came out of nowhere and held his own along side some of the heaviest names in skateboarding at the time.

By the time his second part came out, in Jump off a Building, he was pro. To continue his ascension to legend status, the following year he was awarded Thrasher’s S.O.T.Y. It would seem that with natural progression his skating would have slowed a bit, but it only got heavier. He moved on to Girl Skateboards, and his skating got even better.

Anytime one of the Girl or Fourstar videos comes out he seems to be killing everything at demos with the new hungry guys on the team. I think Patrick says it best in the intro when he talks about Brian being a regular dude who happened to get the opportunity to become pro, and didn’t kook it.

The newest piece of art installed inside Boundless Brooklyn is from Roy Colmer. Courtesy of Teddy King, this replaces the Flying Coffin Artwork we tried to keep as long as possible.

About the artist Roy Colmer

Roy Colmer was born in London, and studied art in Hamburg before moving to the United States in 1966. His paintings from the late-1960s and early-1970s, executed with an industrial spray-gun, are concerned with pulsating optical effects of color and line, and were influenced in part by similar effects that can be experienced when viewing blurred, or looped, color video.

He explored these themes until the mid-1970s when he became involved exclusively with film and photography. In addition to street photography, Colmer experimented with conceptual art and participated with Hanne Darboven on many projects.

If you read this blog, then you know music is a huge part of what we do here. The changing room is now laced with the actual records from Cover Art with Dj Teddy King.

Don’t even think about taking one of those bad boys, Day Day is always looking for some excuse to get wreckless.

SHAWN BRACKBILL PHOTOGRAPHY

1319

Words by Aaron Hansen

Our extended family Shawn Brackbill has been shooting photos for Boundless | King Stampede since 2007. I still have the Spring 2009 King Stampede Lookbook sitting on my ghetto coffee table/dresser/change holder. Its a keepsake.

Since then Shawn has gone on to shoot the likes of Elvis Costello and TV on the Radio. Plus for publications like Rolling Stone, Paper, Anthem – check his website for the full list. Its impressive.

My favorite shoot of his has to be the Spring 2010 King Stampede shoot at Joshua Tree National Park in California. He really captured the spaced out look we were going for.

Its ill to see him turn his enthusiasm for shooting and parlay that into a full time job. Shawn is a great photographer and did I mention has a new book out… GO GET IT!!!

About Shawn’s new book:

A collection of photographs shot at various shows and presentations during New York Fashion Weeks, between September 2008 and February 2010, for Dazed and Confused. Designers include Band Of Outsiders, Calvin Klein, Julian Louie, Matthew Ames, Patrik Ervell, Rag and Bone, and Three as Four.

CUSTOMER COMMENT OF THE WEEK

1317

As we continue on with our series of customer comments…

Stefan Stankevich from Port Chester, NY in the 10573.

“Boundless = Best. Here is why. You get all the best brands before anyone else + your customer service is top notch + you don’t bang me over the head with your prices.”

Stefan thank you for taking the time to a) order online from BoundlessNY.com and 2.) break down the mathematical equation of why we rule. You must have studied Quantum Mechanics at Harvard Community College.

We appreciate your business and everyone out there just like you. Without the support, there is no Boundless. Keep spreading the word.

Until next time, thank you for supporting Boundless NY.
