Cigar-chomping director Melvin Van Peebles brings his classic 1971 Blaxploitation flick Sweet Sweetback’s Baadasssss Song to the stage in New York. Next month his “Sweetback” adaptation opens at the Sons d’Hiver Festival in and around Paris, with workshop performances on Feb. 3 and 4 at BRIC studio in Brooklyn.

Extended Boundless NY Family Daniel DeRogatis lives in San Francisco. At 14 he attended his very first Iron Maiden concert. Since then he has honed a love for all things Metal, but voraciously embraces the entire spectrum of musical genres.
